DIFFERENTIATORS
RDS was founded by a team of very experienced and multidisciplinary Ugandan professionals with technical and indigenous knowledge of their own environment, opportunities, development and humanitarian needs. Their wealth of experience in the development-humanitarian nexus is a catalytic element required to reach the complex world of community socio-economic transformation and self-reliance.

RDS was founded with the aim of building resilient communities in Uganda and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa through socio-economic transformation and humanitarian preparedness and response as informed by extreme poverty, unemployment of youth & women, degradation of the environment, climate change, inequalities and catastrophes.

RDS also cognizant of resource-endowed Sub-Saharan Africa and yet her population has remained poor and heavily reliant on donor aid for many decades.

The understanding of this context underscores RDS potential to mobilise resources and the necessary support to contribute to building an environment where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, not just survive.
